UPS Flight En Route To Germany Diverted To Logan Airport
BOSTON (AP) — A UPS cargo plane en route to Germany was diverted to Logan International Airport after a warning sensor indicated smoke on the plane.
Logan Airport spokesman Richard Walsh says the flight originated in Philadelphia and was headed to Cologne, Germany, before it was diverted early Sunday.
UPS spokesman Mark Dickens says airport crews inspected the Boeing 767 and could find no evidence of any fire. He says it's possible the sensor malfunctioned.
