Uphill Swing

Sunday was a chilly day with wind chills in the single digits and teens.  Today, temperatures are upward bound as they approach 'seasonal' territory.     Highs will return to the middle and upper 30s this afternoon, but breezy west winds will add the 'chilly' touch.  Patches of clouds (from lake-effect snow bands off of Lake Ontario) this morning will make way for clearing skies throughout the day.

Temperatures will moderate even more as we head into the middle part of the work week.  The middle 40s will return on Tuesday and stick around through the end of the week.  During the week, a few weak shortwaves will move through New England.  The first disturbance will increase the cloud cover on Tuesday afternoon, and another one will bring us a chance of of rain/snow showers on Wednesday afternoon and evening.  There is a more definitive weather maker that will affect us Thursday evening through Friday morning.  This will produce a more widespread event with rain and snow showers with the best chance of snow ocurring for interior locales.

Once the cold front sweeps through on Friday, colder air and breezy conditions will settle in for this weekend.  Highs will be near 40F on Saturday and in the middle to upper 30s on Sunday.
