Unsettled Weather Pattern In Place

Just as one weather system moves out, another one is on the way.

That's the trend with the current jetstream pattern.

As we move through the month of  August, models are hinting at a  zonal and/or trough-like pattern through the latter part of the month.

If this turns out to be correct, there won't be any major heat waves throughout the month of August.

Today, we will have a few dry breaks this morning before more showers and thunderstorms fire up this afternoon and evening.

The main concern will be the heavy rain which could lead to localized flooding.

The high moisture content in the air will be very noticeable as dewpoints hang in the upper 60s. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Tuesday will be a mainly dry day with a slight chance of a shower/storm late in the evening.

The mercury will aim for the 80F degree mark again.

Wednesday will be a cloudy and dreary as light to moderate rain falls all-day.

On a bright note, this is going to be the transition day.

Thursday and Friday look sunnier and less humid.

Melissa :)
