UNH Students See Big Savings With Digital Textbooks
DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - The University of New Hampshire says its business school students have saved more than $70,000 through a new digital textbook program.
This semester marks the first time an entire class has used only a digital textbook. The more than 600 students enrolled in the "Introduction to Business" course at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics paid $33.25 for unlimited online access for the term.
The university says conventional hardcover books cost about $150 each, and prices have increased 22 percent over the last few years. About half the textbooks sold at the UNH Bookstore now have a digital option.
