UMass Men's Basketball Team Plane Makes Emergency Landing
OLEAN, N.Y. (CBS) – The charter flight for the UMass Amherst men's basketball team had to make an emergency landing in Albany on Tuesday after smoke began to filter into the cockpit.
According to the Hampshire Gazette, coach Derek Kellogg said the crew did good job of letting the team know what was going on and keeping everybody calm.
The team was on its way to play St. Bonaventure in a game on Wednesday. They may now take a bus from Albany to Olean, which is about 300 miles away.
