BPD: Two Women Sexually Assaulted At Knife-Point In Mission Hill

BOSTON (CBS) -- Police are warning residents after two women were attacked Saturday in the Mission Hill neighborhood, within an hour of each other.

BPD: Two Women Sexually Assaulted At Knife-Point In Mission Hill

The first incident happened around 2 a.m. in the area of Vancouver Street and Huntington Avenue.

The second incident happened less than an hour later near Huntington Avenue and Parker Hill Street.

In both attacks, the women were grabbed from behind and stabbed as the suspect sexually assaulted them.

Police believe the suspect was hiding in the bushes prior to the attack.

The victim in the first attack was stabbed in the leg but was able to escape.

In the second attack, the woman was thrown to the ground and stabbed in the hand, before she was able to get away.

Both sustained non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect in both attacks is described as a man in his 20's, blonde or brownish hair, around 6' tall. In the first attack he was described as wearing a blue plaid shirt and khakis.

In the second attack, he was allegedly wearing a white or gray hoodie and blue jeans.

Police believe the two attacks may be related.
