Two Missing Mass. Teens Found With Convicted Sex Offender
PROVIDENCE, RI (CBS) – A convicted sex offender with a long record is facing new charges after a missing 15-year-old girl from Boston was discovered dancing at a Providence, RI strip club, according to a report in the Providence Journal.
Troy Footman, 51, was arrested as he tried to leave the club on Monday. He's charged with sex trafficking of a minor.
Investigators think he has been recruiting teenage girls from Boston and bringing them to to work in Providence as exotic dancers and prostitutes.
Police say Footman also had a 15-year-old girl who was missing from Brockton staying in his motel room in Seekonk, Mass.
Upon learning that Footman was living in a motel in town, Seekonk police charged him with failing to register as a sex offender.
Footman's past convictions reportedly include rape and running an underage prostitution ring.
