Two MBTA Bus Drivers Cited In "Road Rage" Incident
CHELSEA (CBS) -- Two MBTA bus drivers are being investigated for what officers are calling a road rage incident in Chelsea.
Chelsea police say Hazel Cannon was driving the Route 111 bus and pulled up behind the Route 116 bus, which was being driven by Kokou Agnonon, around 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Route 116 bus was letting passengers off in front of Bunker Hill Community College.
Officers say Cannon started honking her horn then pulled up alongside the Route 116 bus and the two drivers starting arguing.
At that point, both buses started driving through a narrow passage and a Chelsea police cruiser was almost hit.
Chelsea police officers were able to stop both buses near city hall and remove the drivers. They were cited for operating to endanger and reckless operation.
The MBTA is also investigating the incident.
