Two Mass. Institutions Ranked Among Nation's Wealthiest Universities
BOSTON (CBS) -- Two Massachusetts institutions are rated among the top 10 wealthiest universities in the nation.
The findings released from the analytic company Moody's Investors Service measured the total wealth of 500 public and private institutions in cash and investments.
Harvard University topped the list earning $42.8 billion in 2014. MIT came in fifth with $15.2 billion.
The top ten richest universities hold a third of the total wealth widening the financial gap between the nation's institutions, Forbes reported.
