Framingham Shooting Leaves Father, Son Dead
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) -- Two men died after a shooting at a housing project in Framingham late Friday night, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. The shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. at the Pelham housing projects on Second Street.
Police arrived to find two men, a father and son, suffering from gunshot wounds. They were identified as James "Manny" Wade, 45, and James Wade, 24, both of Framingham.
The father was rushed to MetroWest Medical Center where he later died and the younger Wade was pronounced dead at the scene, the D.A. said.
Neither of them lived at the apartments where the shooting occurred.
One woman who lives there told WBZ-TV she heard about seven gunshots and then was scared to go toward the window. "I didn't see anything, I was scared to look at the window as so as that happened," she said. "I always say to my son, 'don't go out during the night.'"
A Honda Accord with heavy front driver side windshield damage was towed away Saturday morning. It is unclear if it's connected with the investigation.
The scene was still active Saturday morning. A K-9 unit was brought in to assist with this investigation.
Police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no current danger to the public. No arrests have been made.
