Two Arrested After Daytime Drive-By Shooting In West Roxbury
WEST ROXBURY (CBS) – Two men are facing charges after a drive-by shooting in broad daylight sent one woman to the hospital.
Massachusetts State Police say the victim was driving northbound on the VFW Parkway around 4:30 p.m. when someone inside another vehicle opened fire on her car.
The 32-year-old victim, a Dedham resident, drove herself to the Dedham police station to report the crime. She was taken to Beth Israel Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Her car was riddled with several bullets.
Friday night, police arrested Marcel Reed, 20, of Roslindale, and Andrew Renna, 21 of Mattapan, and charged both with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder.
State Police say the reason for the shooting is still under investigation but the suspect and victim are known to each other.
