Turco First Off Ice At Morning Skate, Could Get First Bruins Start
BOSTON (CBS) -- It's Turco Time in Tampa.
That's at least what is to be believed from the Bruins' morning skate, when Marty Turco, according to the team's Twitter feed, was the first Boston goalie to leave the ice -- generally an indication of which netminder will start the game that night.
Turco, 36, relieved Thomas of his goaltending duties on Sunday in Pittsburgh after Thomas allowed three first-period goals. Turco stopped 20 of the 22 shots he faced in the eventual 5-3 loss.
Patrice Bergeron and Adam McQuaid, both of whom left Sunday's game with injuries, also skated with the team. Daniel Paille, who's been out since March 3, also skated, while Benoit Pouliot, out since March 8, skated after the rest of the team left the ice.
