Tufts To Launch Cancer Program For Young Adults
BOSTON (CBS) - Tufts Medical Center is creating a cancer center just for young adults – something that hasn't existed in Boston before.
It's named after Reid Sacco from Lynnfield. He died from cancer in 2005 at the age of 20.
His family has dedicated the last seven years to raising awareness.
"No matter where you go, there's no place for a young adult with cancer," his mom Lorraine Sacco said.

Now, their efforts are being realized with the Reid Sacco Adolescence and Young Adult Program at Tufts Medical Center.
"It was up to us to continue this fund and for it not to happen again to another family," Sacco told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens. "That was what he wanted."
