Tsarnaev Trial Delayed By Groundhog Day Nor'easter In Boston
BOSTON (AP) — Jury selection in the trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been postponed as another snowstorm batters the region.
About a foot of snowfall was forecast for the Boston area Monday.
Proceedings are scheduled to resume Tuesday. More than 100 prospective jurors have already been questioned.
Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured when two bombs exploded near the marathon finish line in April 2013.
The 21-year-old Tsarnaev has pleaded not guilty. He is charged with 30 federal crimes, including 17 that carry the possibility of the death penalty.
Prosecutors say he and his older brother Tamerlan carried out the attack. Tamerlan died after a shootout with police days later.
