Troy Aikman On Toucher & Rich: What NFC Team Will Make The Super Bowl?
Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss the Cowboy locker room during his playing days, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, his pick in the NFC and concussion issues in football.
The Cowboys haven't made it to the Super Bowl since they won it all in the 1995 season. Some have criticized owner Jerry Jones for being the owners and general manager of the team hasn't worked.
Does Aikman see Jones bringing someone in at some point to handle the football operations?
"No I don't, I mean from day one from when he first bought the team he stood in front of the media and said that he was going to be in charge of everything."
Did the owners presence ever get to Aikman as a player? The went on to discuss this season's playoffs and the NFC teams that are left. Who is Aikman picking from the NFC to make the Super Bowl, the 49er, Packers, Seahawks or Falcons?
"I could make a case for all four of those teams right now. I just think that San Francisco is the most complete team. I thought that was the case last year obviously they didn't make it to the Super Bowl, but I think from top to bottom they're probably the most talented, they're very well coached and they're an awfully good football team."
Plus, the guys talked about concussion issues in the league and whether they'll be a point where we need to think about how the game is played or are we already there?
