Tricky Temperatures This Week

Temperatures will be all across this board this week. As we know. wind direction is critical for temperature forecasting, and this week will provide temperature swings due to the change in wind direction.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Clouds and spot showers will carry us through the morning.

Then, we can expect a cloud/sun mix for the afternoon. With strong southwest winds, highs will range from75-80F northwest of the city to as cool as the upper 50s and lower 60s for the South Coast/Cape/Islands.

A cold front will pass eastward and stall late tonight. This will induce showers and a few rumbles of thunder tonight. Tuesday will start off in a dry fashion with rain re-developing, due to a second wave of low pressure riding along the stalled cold/stationary front.

We can expect a cool, raw, and dreary Wednesday.  A dry end to the work week will be joined by highs in the 60s on Thursday and 50s on Friday.

As the jet stream is making its trip northward during the transitional Spring season, severe weather continues to pummel the nation's midsection and the Midwest.   Tornado/severe weather season is upon us.

Melissa :)
