Transition Day...

A coldfront is slipping through the Northeast right now...a couple more waves of showers exist before we dry out post front overnight.  The drier air will work in first delivering the sun the cold will lag behind a bit but will work in on gusty NW winds during he afternoon.  Before temps fall tomorrow afternoon, the high should get close to 50 again.  Big changes move in for the weekend...the coldest air of the season will settle in and this will mean highs in the mid 30s both Saturday and Sunday.

Along with the cold, many near the coast will see flurries and or periods of light snow especially in SE Mass.  A little piece of energy, along with a NE wind component will create ocean effect clouds and snow showers Saturday night into Sunday morning.  There may even be  a few spots that get a quick coating on the deck or grass.  Otherwise, the weekend will be filled with dry and generally sunny conditions...again, just cold ones though.

Beyond that, early next week looks milder and quiet with highs in the 40s.  Another storm will approach for the middle of next week but that too looks to track to far inland to keep us on the milder side of things, limiting our chances for snow.  Another, and final, chance at a white Christmas will occur on or around XMAS Eve...
