Train-Building Delays Prompt MBTA GM To Fly To South Korea
BOSTON (CBS) - The MBTA's general manager is flying to the other side of the world this weekend to find out why the new commuter rail trains are so far behind schedule.
The MBTA was already supposed to have those 75 new, double-decker cars for the commuter rail.
However, not a single car has been delivered yet.
General Manager Jonathan Davis is flying to South Korea to meet with the CEO of Hyundai-Rotem, the company building the cars.
He will visit the factory for a tour on Tuesday.
