Trader Joe's Cashews Sold In Mass. Recalled Over Salmonella Fears

BOSTON (CBS) -- Trader Joe's is pulling some cashews from shelves in more than two dozen states due to salmonella concerns.

The grocery store says it was alerted by the supplier of Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces that one specific batch of the product may be contaminated with salmonella.

"Out of an abundance of caution, all lots of Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces have been removed from store shelves and their sale has been suspended while we investigate this matter," Trader Joe's said.

More Recall Information

Anyone who bought the raw cashew pieces with the specific lot code "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4" is asked to throw it out or return it to the store for a full refund.

The cashews were sold in all New England states.
