Tractor-Trailer Driver Hurt In Route 128 Rollover Crash In Peabody
PEABODY (CBS) -- A driver was hurt Monday afternoon after his tractor-trailer rolled over on Route 128 North in Peabody.
State Police say the crash occurred near the Route 1 North ramp around 1:45 p.m. The tractor-trailer unit was carrying a large green dumpster when it went down an embankment.
The driver, a 26-year-old Lynn man, was trapped inside the truck for an extended period of time and had to be freed. He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown. The rollover is under investigation by State Police.
