T&R Live From Indy: Colvin's Thoughts On Who Will Win Sunday
98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich are out in Indianapolis covering all going on leading up to Super Bowl XLVI.
Former Patriot linebacker Rosevelt Colvin joined the guys on radio row to discuss his thoughts on Sunday's game, Peyton Manning and Jim Irsay.
Peyton Manning missed this season due to a neck injury and there has has been much speculation on what the future will hold for Peyton. What does Colvin think Peyton's chances are of making a return to the game?
"I think it's 50/50. I think he will play again whether he'll play here or not is up to Mr. Irsay and whether he wants to continue to keep him along, ride him a couple more years and then let the young kid take over."
The guys also discussed Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, his strange tweets of song lyrics and the fact that he has his own museum. How do people from Indy view the owner?
"He is different than a normal owner, I mean Mr. Kraft I assume that he has a Twitter account, but he probably doesn't tweet. Mr. Irsay he walks to a different drum, a different beat."
Is there a part of Colvin that's glad that he's not actually playing in the game and is able to enjoy all the pomp and circumstance?
"I would say 50 yes, 50 no because the opportunity to play in the game is presented to few and to win even fewer...The other half of that is you get to enjoy the other side of it the media row portion."
They also went on to get Colvin's real prediction for Sunday's game. Does he really feel the Patriots will be Super Bowl champs once again?
"I still feel confident that the Patriots can be victorious. If they continue to play offensively like they did last week minus a couple miss cues from Tom. Defensively if they play inspired like they did last week and the week before that I think they have a good chance of coming out on top."
Listen to find out how much he thinks that Pats will win by.
