Tour Bus Catches Fire On I-95 South In Danvers, No One Hurt
DANVERS (CBS/AP) - No injuries were reported after a tour bus with nearly three dozen passengers on board caught fire on a highway north of Boston.
State police said the bus became engulfed in flames late Monday afternoon on I-95 South in Danvers, near the Fern Croft Rotary.
Police said all 35 passengers on the bus got off safely. The bus driver was able to pull into the breakdown lane.
Police closed all but one lane of the four-lane highway while firefighters put out the blaze.
"Local Motion", based in Braintree, told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that the bus was on a charter trip when it caught fire.
An MBTA bus brought the passengers into Boston, where they continued their journey.
