Toucher & Rich With Greg Bedard: Will Haynesworth Be Suspended?
New England Patriots defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth was accused of touching a waitress' breast while having drinks with friends at a Washington hotel. He pleaded no contest to a charge of simple assault on Monday. If he stays out of trouble over the next 18 months and completes 160 hours of community service, the charge will be dropped entirely.
Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe joined Toucher & Rich to discuss what the future might hold for Haynesworth. Does Bedard think that Haynesworth will face discipline from the league?
"I don't know, you look at his "body of work" off the field and it seems to point that he's headed for a 1 or 2 game suspension...I think it's entirely possible, but not likely," Bedard said.
The guys went on to discuss the relationship between Rodger Goodell and Robert Kraft. Will their relationship play a part in whether or not Haynesworth gets suspended? When will we find out the league's decision on the matter?
