Toucher & Rich: Shawn Thornton: "We Haven't Let The Highs Get Too High"
The Boston Bruins are one game away from finishing off the Philadelphia Flyers and heading to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Shawn Thornton spoke with Toucher & Rich about the 5-1 Game 3 win over the Flyers. The Bruins led the game after just 30 seconds and never looked back. Even with a two goal lead Nathan Horton got into a fight, at which point do you back off a little?
They also asked Thornton why this Bruins team is playing so much better against this Flyers team than they did against the Montreal Canadiens?
They also discussed being up 3-0 over the Flyers for the second time in two years. "We haven't let the highs get too high or the lows get too low," Thornton told the guys.
They talked about how the team got up and didn't lay off. How hard was it to keep pressing with the lead and not slow down?
Brad Marchand has been a big contributor this playoff run and last night he had some big hits. How is Marchand able to push guys bigger than him around?
They also discussed Adam McQuaid's status and how Marc Savard is doing.
And which Bruin gave Thornton a ride home after the game, seriously putting his future with the team in jeopardy?!?
