Toucher & Rich: Tortorella Calls Out 'Arrogant' Pens
BOSTON (CBS) - It seems like everyone is calling out the Pittsburgh Penguins these days.
First it was analyst Mike Millbury who called out Sidney Crosby, which he later apologized for. Thursday night, it was Rangers' coach John Tortorella who took exception to a controversial knee-to-knee hit by Pittbsurgh defenseman Brooks Orpik on Rangers' center Derek Stepan late in the third.
Orpik was assessed a five-minute major for kneeing and a game misconduct in the Pens 5-2 win, but Tortorella had plenty to say to reporters after the game regarding the hit.
"It's a cheap, dirty hit. I wonder what would happen if we did it to their two whining stars over there," Tortorella said, referencing Penguins' stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
"It's one of the most arrogant organizations in the league," Tortorella said of Pittsburgh. "They whine about this stuff all the time and look what happens."
Toucher & Rich liken the Penguins to "Vancouver East" with the way they've been playing lately and with all the whining.
What can we expect if the Bruins and Penguins meet in the playoffs?
