Toucher & Rich: Dave Goucher On The Bruins Forcing Game 7
The Stanley Cup Finals have come down to Game 7 after the Bruins won 5-2 in Game 6.
Dave Goucher spoke with Toucher & Rich about the Bruins forcing a Game 7, the banged up Vancouver defense and Roberto Luongo getting pulled again.
In the opening seconds of Game 6 Mason Raymond got tangled up with Johnny Boychuk and awkwardly hit the corner boards. Raymond stayed facedown on the ice for several minutes before his teammates helped him off. Fred let Goucher know that the reports are that Raymond fractured a vertebra and will miss Game 7. The guys look at Vancouver's banged up defense, what will the Canucks do in Game 7 defensively? How big a loss is Raymond to this Vancouver team?
"His speed creates a lot of chances. He was one of their top six forwards," Goucher told the morning crew.
So far this series has been all about home ice. Can the Bruins play with the same ferocity in Game 7 in Vancouver that they have played with at home?
"All year long when they really, really, really needed to come up with a huge game they've done it," said Goucher of this Bruins team.
The guys also talked about Roberto Luongo getting pulled twice in this series and the crazy Vancouver fans.
