Toucher & Rich: Dave Goucher On Bruins Potential Unrestricted Free Agents
The Bruins are on top of the world after their Stanley Cup win. This past weekend Boston celebrated with a huge parade through the streets of town.
Dave Goucher spoke with Toucher & Rich about being part of the parade, what's next for him now that the season is over and what players are potential unrestricted free agents?
The crowd that came out to see the Bruins parade was huge, over a million. Was Goucher surprised at how many people came out?
"I kept waiting for the crowds to kind of thin out a little bit and they never did. By the time we got down Copley and down by the public library I just couldn't believe, I mean they had to be 40 deep at that point," Goucher recalled.
The guys moved on to talk about Tomas Kaberle staying in Boston. What are the chances the team ops to retain him?
"I think they do. I think they try to, but I think maybe it's at a reduced rate," Goucher said.
The guys also discussed the issue with Marc Savard, will he retire due to his injury? They also discussed how this affects him financially if whether he chooses to stay on the injured reserves or retire.
Another player that they discussed was Michael Ryder, will he be back with this team?
"I think maybe at a reduced rate. If you look at him in the playoffs he was terrific this year for them in the post season. The frustrating part can be at times is that there's times he disappears on you. There's times you don't notice him," Goucher had to say of the Boston winger.
