Toucher & Rich: Dan Roche On Thomas' Play Bothering Canucks
WBZ-TV's Dan Roche is in Vancouver covering the Bruins as they battle for the Cup.
He called in to talk with Toucher & Rich Friday about traveling to Vancouver to cover the series, Patrice Bergeron's finger and Tim Thomas' style in goal.
The guys talked about other local news stations not sending people to Vancouver to cover the B's and why Roche feels it's important to be there.
They also discussed Alex Burrows biting Bergeron's finger and the NHL not suspending him.
NHL Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations Mike Murphy said, "After reviewing the incident, including speaking with the on-ice officials, I can find no conclusive evidence that Alex Burrows intentionally bit the finger of Patrice Bergeron."
Is this explanation sufficient as to why Burrows didn't get suspended?
The guys also talked about how Vancouver has a problem with the way that Thomas plays.
Will they start taking runs at him in Game 2 when he comes far out of the net?
If so will the right calls be made by the officials?
