Toucher & Rich Chat With Revs Star Diego Fagundez

Diego Fagúndez of the New England Revolution is one of the bright young stars of the MLS - and yet he's only 18 years old and still in high school.

The Leominster native joined the Toucher and Rich show Wednesday morning to preview the Revs' upcoming game against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday November 2nd in the MLS Cup Playoffs - the team's first birth in postseason play since 2009.

They wanted to know more about his background and found out that Diego signed his first contract at age 15 and his father played professionally in Uruguay as a goalkeeper. Diego found out early on that being a goalie was not the position for him.

"I played goalie for Leominster soccer and I remember I used to dribble out and score goals. Coach said 'I think we're going to have to put you at forward.'"

Since Diego is so young, T&R had some fun with him and played a pop culture trivia game of three relevant songs from when they were young. Diego didn't fare well and got all three questions wrong.
