Toucher & Rich: Breer On Cornerback Janoris Jenkins

The NFL Scouting Combine came to an end in Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Bert Breer of the NFL Network was there for it all, and spoke with 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich about the value of the combine and some players that the Patriots might have their eye on.

How much value does Breer place on the combine and when he talks to executives how much value do they put on it?

"Well I don't put a ton on it because and you know this is always a push and pull between scout and coaches. Scouts have been working on these guys for three or four years and have been traveling the country and for them this is the very, very end of a long, long process. For coaches they're just jumping in now and they're just getting their first full look at a lot of these kids."

The guys discussed some of the tests and evaluations that are administered at the combine. They also discussed the St. Louis Rams, Robert Griffin III and Sam Bradford.

The guys moved on to talk about players that the Patriots might have some interest in, such as cornerback Janoris Jenkins. How good is Jenkins physically?

"He might be the best corner in the draft, I mean him and Morris Claiborne and Dre Kirkpatrick. I heard somebody compare him to Revis the other day, physically."
