Toucher & Rich: Adolfo's Dad Got Shot!
Fred went out with an old friend over the weekend and invited Adolfo along. The friend was going through some tough times and in an effort to make her feel better about her situation Adolfo told a story regarding his family.
Fred was blown away by what Adolfo had to say. He teased on Monday's show he was going to let Adolfo take a day to think about if he'd like to share it on air. When it came down to it, Adolfo was game and filled everyone in on what happened.
Emotions had been building for quite some at the Gonzalez family home in Texas, and it all came to a head during a fight over watering the lawn. Adolfo's dad was watering the lawn when Adolfo's grandfather, on his mother's side, thought it was a waste of water.
An argument escalated, and the grandfather went to their shed and returned with a gun. He then proceeded to shoot Adolfo's dad. Luckily the bullet, as Adolfo put it, "glazed" his dad's shoulder.
His grandfather was arrested and went to trial for his crime. The crazy thing is, as if this whole story wasn't crazy enough, Adolfo found out about this through Facebook!
