Toucher: LeBron James 'Acting Like A 12-Year-Old Girl' With Social Media Posts
BOSTON (CBS) -- There's no doubt that LeBron James is an athletic freak and one of the hardest-working superstars in the NBA. But at times, he can also come off like an insufferable egomaniac with no self-awareness.
LeBron probably meant well with these Instagram posts. He wanted to motivate the young-ins to work as hard as he does to achieve their goals. Problem is, you can smell the arrogance and narcissism wafting over you almost immediately.
Did LeBron let you know that he's also Batman?
There's also this tweet:
Fred Toucher did not take kindly to LeBron's locker room postings and subsequent comments about them.
"He took a picture of himself in the locker room like, 'Something's wrong with me!' Yeah, you're acting like a 12-year-old girl," said Toucher. "He's not even working out, he's just standing there with a big stupid smile on his face like 'I'm nuts!'"
Toucher and Wallach went on to read more posts from LeBron, who also said that his old-man-on-the-mountaintop wisdom is only comprehensible to "the educated mind." He tried to "downplay" the comments, but in classic LeBron fashion, still couldn't resist putting himself on a pedestal.
"I don't know if anything started it. Just my mind working," he said. "I got a beautiful mind and I want to use it sometimes in a social manner."
