Tornado Warning On Cape Ends With Flooding
BARNSTABLE (CBS) – Part of Cape Cod was under a tornado warning Wednesday morning, but there have been no reports of a twister actually touching down.

The National Weather Service issued the warning for southwestern Barnstable County for about an hour, but it expired without incident at 9:30 a.m.
Meteorologists said Doppler radar indicated a "severe squall line capable of producing a tornado as well as damaging straight line winds" moved near Falmouth at about 40 miles per hour.
"Most tornadoes in New England are obscured by rain. Do not wait to see the tornado. Take cover now! Go to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building," the NWS stated in it's warning.
The severe thunderstorms did bring quite a bit of rain in a short period of time.

There have been several reports of flooding in southeastern Massachusetts. New Bedford and Martha's Vineyard appeared to be the hardest hit.
A home on Farmersville Road in Sandwich was struck by lightning, but did not appear to be seriously damaged.
