Tornado Warning Issued, Storms Cause Damage North Of Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - A tornado warning was issued in southern New Hampshire and Middlesex County in Massachusetts Tuesday afternoon.
The warning was issued just after 4 p.m. as strong thunderstorms moved across the state. The warning was dropped by 4:30 p.m.

There have been no reports of a tornado touchdown, but the storms caused damage north of Boston. Trees fell onto power lines causing thousands of outages.
In Tewksbury, a tree fell onto a Cherilyn Mitchell's house on Whipple Street. "It was thundering and lightning pretty hard, it was windy," Mitchell said. "I had actually just said 'I like a good thunderstorm' and then all of a sudden a huge bang and the whole house shook."
In Westford, a lightning strike split a tree in half.
Trees were also toppled in Dracut. George Kazarian was worried about the safety of his family. "This was only the second time we had been in the basement for a tornado warning, so it was pretty scary for me seeing how quickly the weather changed," Kazarian said.
More than 13,000 customers in Massachusetts lost power.
No injuries have been reported.
