The Top 5 Sports Callers of the week is a weekly installment from CBS Local Sports that will bring you the wildest callers from across the nation.
This week, we bring you a special edition of Top 5 Sports Callers as we look back at the best sports radio calls of 2015.
Number 5: In this week’s episode, we start with Dirty Tom from Cleveland who, back in May, joined the Ken Carman show on 92.3 The Fan doing his best Nick Swisher impression in a fake interview.
Number 4: Checking in at four is Isaac from Detroit, who called in to the Karsh and Anderson show on 97.1 The Ticket after the Lions lost to the Seahawks, to tell the guys he just can't take watching them anymore.
Number 3: The number three caller this year was Mark from Philadelphia who hopped on with Angelo Cataldi and the Morning Team on SportsRadio 94 WIP after the Eagles started the season 0-2 and he ripped head coach/GM Chip Kelly.
Number 2: The two spot goes to Jay from DC who called in to the Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan following a Redskins loss to the Jets with a unique way of describing the QB situation in Washington.
Number 1: Finally, the top spot goes to Dave from Chicago who joined Boers and Bernstein on 670 The Score in May with his comparison of Jay Cutler to Derrick Rose. The hosts weren't having any of it.
