Tom Brady Recalls Embarrassing Super Bowl Memory Created By Gisele Bundchen

BOSTON (CBS) -- Losing the Super Bowl is always painful. Losing the Super Bowl and having your wife make national headlines for calling out your teammates is even worse.

Tom Brady knows this from experience, as his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, lost her lid after being heckled on her way around the stadium after the Patriots lost to the Giants in February's Super Bowl.

"You [have] to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball," she snapped at the hecklers. "My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."

Brady never really discussed the comments publicly, but he presumably smoothed things over with his teammates, and notably receiver Wes Welker. But in a roundtable discussion with Joe Montana, Steve Young, Aaron Rodgers and Jim Plunkett, Brady shared his dismay upon learning of what his wife said. NFL.com released a sample from the show on Thursday.

"I was in the hotel room, I was going to bed, and I was talking to my wife after the game," Brady said. "No one can really quite understand, you know, even if it's your wife or your parents or your best friends -- they just don't quite understand how you're feeling. You know, you're just going through play after play after play.

"Just before she goes to bed, she goes, 'Yeah, and these people were following me and I just said something I shouldn't have said.' I said, 'I don't care, really, what you said. Go to bed.'

"So I woke up the next morning and I tapped her on the shoulder. 'Why did you say that?!' She was talking about the best player on our team, Wes Welker. ... [That's] one of my most recent memories, thank you."

NFL Network will air the full roundtable discussion Friday at 4:30 p.m.
