Tom Brady Makes Young Cancer Patient's Christmas Wish Come True
FOXBORO (CBS) – Tom Brady and the Patriots left Saturday to take on the New York Jets. But first, Brady made a Christmas wish come true for a young fan battling cancer.
Brady sent a video to Hailey, an 8-year-old Maine girl diagnosed with leukemia for the second time, inviting her to come to Foxboro to meet him before the team left for New York.
"I heard you had a special Christmas wish that you wanted this year. I've got one too," Brady said in the video, posted to the Hailey's Journey Our Journey Facebook page, asked her to make the trip to meet him.
It looks like Hailey's parents approved of the trip. Several pictures were posted on the page showing Brady and Hailey meeting at Gillette Stadium.
Hailey, sporting her Tom Brady jersey for the meet and greet, even got a hug from the 4-time Super Bowl champion quarterback.
The Patriots play the Jets on Sunday at 1 p.m.
