Tom Brady 'Finally' In Flow Of Season Heading Into Week 11
FOXBORO (CBS) -- There's no question that the 2012 Patriots have been a little off when compared to previous year's teams. After all, the team's three losses in the first six weeks of this season were as many or more losses than the team had in three of the past five full seasons.
Despite those early-season setbacks, the Patriots have won three straight games, and quarterback Tom Brady said Thursday that he's finally in the full rhythm of the season.
"I feel like today, [we] had a very good practice and now finally you really start to feel like you're in the middle," Brady said. "It took however many games -- four preseason and nine regular season and you've played 13 games -- and you're like, 'Now I really start feeling good out there on every play.' It's just part of the NFL season."
Brady, for his part, has been consistent all season long. He's averaging 293.9 passing yards per game, never throwing for fewer than 223 in any on game, and he's thrown at least one touchdown pass in every single game, throwing eight in the current three-game winning streak. As important as anything, he's thrown just three interceptions.
His counterpart on Sunday, Andrew Luck, has been slightly less consistent for the Colts, though that's to be expected as a rookie. Luck is averaging just 1.6 fewer passing yards per game but has not thrown a touchdown pass in three games this season. He's also tripled Brady's interception total, though Luck's five rushing touchdowns are the second-most in the league, trailing only fellow rookie Robert Griffin III.
Luck has certainly impressed Brady, who said his rookie season in 2000 was a lot less eventful than Luck's.

I always admire those rookies who can do it because it is such a challenge, whether you're a defensive end like Chandler Jones, or Dont'a Hightower or Andrew Luck or any of these rookies who really play a big role for a certain team. It's a real credit to them and their ability to transition and focus on all these new things that have really come about and go out there and play well."
