Toddler Who Wandered From NH Campsite Reunited With Parents
FARMINGTON, N.H. (CBS/AP) - Authorities say a 19-month-old boy is back with his family after disappearing from a New Hampshire campsite.
Farmington toddler Liam Davis was missing for more than three hours Thursday night before Fish and Game Conservation Officer Mark Hensel and and his K9 partner Sig, a 2-year-old black Labrador Retriever, found him at 11:30 p.m.
The child was asleep at the base of a tree, about a quarter-mile downstream from his family's Farmington campsite.
Authorities say Liam's family had put him to sleep in the tent before the toddler woke up, unzipped the tent's door, and wandered away.
About 75 people, including volunteers and state, local and federal law-enforcement officials were part of the search for him.
Fish and Game officials said the toddler looked healthy, but was taken to the hospital to be checked.
