Toddler Survives Fall Out Of 3rd-Story Window In Worcester

WORCESTER (CBS) – A 2-year-old girl is recovering after falling out of a third-story window Friday morning in Worcester.

Police say around 10 a.m., the toddler fell out the window of her home on Vinson Street while her mother was taking a shower.

A sibling informed the mom, who ran out to help girl, and also called 911.

The girl was conscious when EMTs arrived.

The child was being treated at a local hospital and is expected to survive.

Officers are still looking into the exact circumstances surrounding the fall, but they believe the window was not locked and did not have a screen.

At this point, police say the fall does not appear to be the result of negligence by the parents.

Charges are not expected.
