Time For a Change...

I have to say, I'm getting tired of reporting that we need the rain...I really wish we would just get a good soaking to help alleviate a lot of the problems that are out there.  Once again today, we narrowly missed a sizable rain maker.  The trough over us spun up a large storm just a couple hundred miles offshore, soaking the fish but not us...again.  We remained in the same pattern with the cold pocket of air above us creating convective clouds and scattered showers...not enough.

The trough will lift on Friday leaving mainly sunny skies and temps around 60.

Over the weekend a summer-like pattern will set up pumping warmth back into New England a series of fronts will be sliding through with a small shower risk early on Sunday and then again later in the day, between them temps will warm into the mid 70s.

Marathon Monday is still a tough call...models are having a tough time with the timing of a coldfront...at this early point I think it's safe to say that the warmth will peak on Sunday and a coldfront will be working through Monday morning.  This means that temps will still be on the mild side especially out in Hopkinton but as the runners and racers get closer to the city winds will be turning onshore cooling the temps down.  It may even be in the runners face too.
