Tim Wright To Wear No. 81 With Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) -- New Patriots tight end Tim Wright is bringing the No. 81 back to New England.
WBZ-TV's Dan Roche reported Thursday morning that Wright, who the Patriots acquired from the Buccaneers on Tuesday, will sport the same number that he wore in Tampa when he makes his Patriots debut Thursday night against the New York Giants.

Should he make the team, and one would hope given the fact the Patriots traded away Logan Mankins to acquire the tight end, Wright would become the first member of the Patriots to wear the number since the arrest of Aaron Hernandez in 2013.
Wright caught 50 passes for 596 yards and four touchdowns for Tampa last year as a rookie after going undrafted out of Rutgers.
The No. 81 jersey was most recently worn by wide receiver Wilson Van Hooser this preseason, who was cut by the team on Tuesday.
