3 Found Dead At Lynnfield Home
LYNNFIELD (CBS/AP) – Police say a Lynnfield man shot his pregnant girlfriend and her sister to death before killing himself Monday night.
A spokesman for the Essex District Attorney's office said police received a 911 call at about 10 p.m. but by the time they arrived at the home, three people were dead.
Investigators think 51-year-old Joseph Cummings shot his girlfriend, 35-year-old Kimberly Nguyen, then shot 29-year-old Lilly Nguyen, before turning the gun on himself.
Kimberly Nguyen was six-months pregnant with Cummings' child. Her 12-year-old daughter ran to a neighbor's house and the 911 call was made from that home.
Lilly Nguyen jumped out a second story window to escape Cummings, but according to investigators, he went outside and shot her, before returning inside and taking his own life.
Authorities say Cummings and his girlfriend had been arguing before the shootings.
