Three arrested in drug-related Waltham murder
Three people accused of arranging to buy drugs from a Waltham man and then trying to rob him at gunpoint have been arrested on murder and armed assault charges.
Seventeen-year-old Benjamin Peirce of Newton was arraigned Friday in the death of 29-year-old Adam Conevey and was ordered held without bail.
Two others suspects, an 18-year-old from Newton and a 21-year-old from Roxbury, are expected to be arraigned Monday.
Prosecutors say police officers responding to a report of possible shots fired at a Lexington Street home found Conevey suffering from an apparent gunshot wound just after 11 p.m. Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities say a 17-year-old from Waltham also was arrested Friday. He's been charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.
Peirce's attorney did not immediately return a call for comment.
