Thomas, Stanley Cup Heading To Vermont In September
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP/CBS) -- Lord Stanley's Cup is heading to Vermont.
On Sept. 3 University of Vermont alumnus and Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas is planning to bring the cup to the Burlington area.
The details of the appearance are still being finalized.
Thomas' brother-in-law Brian Kane, who works for Tim Thomas Hockey, told the Burlington Free Press more information will become available next week.

In June, the 37-year-old Thomas led the Bruins to their first Stanley Cup in almost 40 years.
Thomas played at UVM from 1993-97 and in 1996 he led the Hockey Cats to the program's first appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four.
