Thief Swipes Cash From New Hampshire Girl Scouts Selling Cookies
ROCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) -- Police in New Hampshire are looking for someone who stole money from Girl Scouts selling cookies.
Girl Scouts were set up in front of a Rochester Walgreens on Friday at about 6:45 p.m., when a thief swiped the cash box sitting on the cookie table, police said. That man then got into a waiting vehicle in the parking lot with two other people inside.
The green Toyota Camry in question was then found on Winter Street and Adams Avenue, but the occupants apparently fled on foot after pulling into a driveway, police said.
The thief has been described as a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and wearing a black winter hat and blue Patriots jacket. Police have not said how much money was in the cash box.
Police have not made any arrests yet and cash rewards are being offered for any information leading to the capture of suspects.
