The Tropics...

I think the word is out about our glorious weather and that it will last through the weekend.  Expect highs in the 80s away from the coast and some 70s along the beaches where seabreezes will be felt.  You can also look forward to lots of sunshine.  If you are looking for rain you won't find much...our next chance of any appears to be with a coldfront next Tuesday...about a week away!

With our weather being so quiet, all eyes are on the tropics where we currently have two storms. Tropical Depression 10 formed today way out in the Atlantic and the official forecast takes it close to Bermuda before curling out into open water.  The bigger concern is Tropical Storm Isaac which is closing in on the Caribbean.  The official track from the National Hurricane Center takes this over the Greater Antilles and into South Florida and the Keys.  With that said there is still a big spread in tropical guidance tracks so really all from the SE US to TX need to be on guard.  The good news is there are no indications that Isaac could make it up the East Coast intact to give us any problems.  This storm won't get to Florida until late in the weekend or early next week so we will be watching it closely over the next several days.
