The Sun Is Back!

An offshore low has had a strong grip on Southern New England since early this week.

Thankfully, sunshine is going to make a comeback as we end the workweek!

Watch Melissa's forecast:

High pressure at the surface and ridging aloft will provide us with ample sunshine today and tomorrow.

There will be more clouds near the coast today, but we will all manage to soak in some rays of sun.  Highs will be more seasonable in the middle and upper 60s... 50s Cape/Islands.

Winds will still be breezy originating from the NNE.  Friday will be a beauty with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.  Highs will be in the middle 60s... cooler at the coast as winds begin to transition onshore in the afternoon.

Weekend Forecast:

The upper level ridge is showing enough strength to bring us a mainly dry/partly sunny day on Saturday.

There will only be a slight chance of showers reaching northwest suburbs by evening.

Sunday is looking like a cloudy, rainy day as a front stalls across the area and a wave of low pressure heads our way. Highs will be cooler this weekend as models are depicting onshore winds.  This will produce cooler temps along the coast and slightly warmer temps inland.

The weather looks unsettled though the middle part of next week.

Melissa :)
