The Sun Comes Out Tomorrow

Mainly cloudy today with scattered showers this morning and possibly showers and rumbles of thunder late in the day due to the passage of a cold front.  Depending on the speed and northern movement of the warm front, we may see some breaks of sun across southeastern Mass. midday.  Otherwise, the showers (T) will end early tonight before gradually clearing after midnight.  Highs will be tricky due to the warm front. I am saying upper 40s to near 50 across the northwestern coverage area while southeastern Mass may reach the lower to middle 50s. The city of Boston should top off near 50F.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Thursday & Friday:  High pressure makes its move and provides us with sunshine.  Highs will be in the upper 50s on Thursday,  but a switch in wind direction will drop high temperatures a few degrees on Friday.

Easter Weekend:  A storm system will bring us rain starting late-morning Saturday. A cold front attached will plow through later that evening.  Then, the models diverge. The GFSx now has a surface high diving from our northwest allowing this front to stall south of the area on Easter Day. That would provide us with a dry holiday. However, the EURO shows the front stalling closer to home with a wave of low pressure riding along the front and producing showers Easter afternoon.

Since the GFSx just changed 'its mind', I'm sticking with a chance of afternoon showers for continuity and until the models come to a more solid conclusion. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 50s and near 60F on Sunday.

Melissa :)
