The Storm Is Gone...Clean-Up Continues

The Nor'easter that slammed Southern New England is now off to sea. However, we are left with quite a mess  in its aftermath.  Snowfall totals were very impressive, especially in our northern and western coverage areas along with Western Mass. and portions of Connecticut.   Chronologically-speaking, we are now in the calm after the storm.  Many of us will still be shoveling and trying to get to work on slick, snow-covered secondary roads and even icy patches along primary roadways.  In other words, we all need to take it slow and add extra pad time to our morning commutes.  Clouds will be departing this morning as sunshine makes its arrival.  Highs will be from the upper 20s to lower 30s.  Winds will still be gusty at times from the northwest.  With the snowcover, we can expect daytime highs to be slightly lower and overnight lows to be even colder.

This weekend will be quiet. An Alberta Clipper slips by late Saturday thru early Sunday presenting us with our next chance to see some snow. This time it will be very insignificant with a few flurries and snow showers with maybe a 1/2" to and 1" accum..  Models are hinting at a nice warm-up for the middle part of next week.  Let's hope it verifies so it can continue to  melt some of the 'old' snow.

Melissa :)
